I had my son at 38 weeks he was 6.6lbs and did wear preemie diapers, they fit him better then newborn and he also wore preemie clothes for the first couple weeks. You will not need a diaper bag, the docs will give you what you need the nurses will keep you stocked on diapers, wipes and a&d you will recieve a binkey in the hospital but I chose to bring my own. you will need a nursing bra and breast pads if you choose to breastfeed, if you choose to bottle feed the nurses have formula and bottles on hand. I did bring clothes for my little one and I brought sleepers for him too. and just remember that you can always have the daddy or whoever will be with you at the hospital run to the store or home for something and don't be afraid to ask someone to bring you food. hospital food sucks and whenever a visitor came by and asked what I needed on their way over I told them a burger or if I needed nothing I just let them know... also there will be lots of photos taken so I would bring some make-up!

You need some baby wipes, clothes for you and baby. Size 1 nappies (I recommend pampers new baby, they hold the wee and poo really well). Antibacterial gel in case you can't get to the bathroom easily from wherever your bed is allocated in the hospital. Bottles (even if you decided to breastfeed, you never know if you'll be able to latch on your baby easily). I think this is about all you need.
Best of luck.

the things you listed are a good starter list for a baby bag. id definitely bring extra bottles and bottle liners if your not planning to breast feed. id also bring some burp rags or bibs, an extra hat, blanket and baby nail clippers (those baby nails are sharp!!). also bring some ziploc baggies in case anything gets soiled.

my experience in australia..while in hospital the baby wears hospital clothes and hospital cloth nappies. 3 days after the child was born was the first time we dresses him in his own clothes and disposable. Do NOT freak out they do not do too much ..avoid a pacifier but get MIT's because they have long finger nails and tend to scratch themselves. If you are breast feeding no bottle needed..however if that is not your plan talk to the nurses...For yourself......bring lots of underwear and maternity pads. Never met anyone who has a plan that worked out. GOODLUCK!

i don't think you'll need preemie sized diapers-- unless you know you are going to be having your baby premature..
but newborn diapers fit just about every newborn. the hospital should have some diapers, but its better to be prepared. you'll need some onsies, and you'll probably want a nice 'going home outfit' for your baby to get pics in before leaving the hospital. if you plan on bottle feeding, then yes you'll need some bottles. basically everything you listed sounded good, you might not need all of it, but like it said, its better to come prepared. most people do bring a diaper bag to the hospital, but you could put those items in your own bag, its up to you.

What do you need bottles for? Don't you have breasts? You want to feed your baby milk from a cow instead of your own milk???
Why?
