First, I had a previa and abruption. I managed to go to 36 weeks, just being really careful. Although, I did spend most of the pregnancy in the hospital.

Second, the hospital will provide all the baby care stuff if she needs it! You don't need to bring anything for baby, also, I think they use tubes for preemies.

Good Luck!!!

preemie onesies they have them at wal-mart in the baby section. also preemie diapers. and pacifiers regular size will be fine (just look big on their face, lol). and yes the hospital will provide lots of things for her, like onesies, blankets, diapers, etc. If you could invest in a good electric breast pump that would be great, bc your breast milk would really give her a boost. Preemies have weaker immune systems than full-term babies, so your breast milk would help her build a stronger immune system faster bc of its antibodies. Medela is a good but expensive brand, the hospital might actually lend you one bc of your situation. Also evenflo is good. and also online at Target thy have this preemie boppy pillow for a preemie to lie on and do tummy time on when they come home and for you to feed them on.

hey mindy just bc youre top contributor doesnt mean you know EVERYTHING

You're in the hospital now, right? Pick up the phone and ask for the NICU. Ask the nurse who answers if she has some time to visit you, or if there's a special nurse who visits with preemie moms. Try to get someone to visit you so you can get some info.

I worked in a baby clothes shop, and the moms were buying baby doll clothes for their preemies. lol.

Best wishes on the TIMELY arrival of your baby.

TX Mom

I understand what you’re going through. My daughter was born at 30weeks and we struggled to get that far. Your little one will be in the NICU most likely until your due date. In the NICU they’ll supply you with a pacifier and if the baby needs a special bottle they can help with that too. You’re headed down a rough road but rest assured it will pass. I wish you and your family lots of luck!!! If you’d like to talk more my email addy is LayLu_missingstar@yahoo.com

Hi! I'm sorry to hear about your condition. I however...just gave birth to my preemie at 28 weeks 3 months ago! She was born 2lbs 14.5in and is doing wonderful now! She was on the ventilator and what not for quite a while. But yes, the hospital should provide you with everything your baby needs as long as he/she is in the hospital. My daughter came home at 91 days old! Hopefully since you get the shots earlier than I did that will make a difference! Good luck! It really is amazing what they can do now! They have had more than one baby born at 20 weeks do wonderful at the hosptial I had my daughter at!

Good luck!

Well Mindy : Thats just a harsh way of saying it! I don't even know what it is but I'm sure her doctor knows a thing or two...and I can't imagine she pulling this story out of her butt!
